Sri Sankara Vidyashramam Mat. Hr. Sec. School

June 2001 to April 2015

Having regularly attended school for over 13 years, SSV has been like a second home to me. I have participated in numerous co-curricular activities during my time at SSV and have won awards for some of them as well. Since my matriculation from SSV, I have visited the school numerous times to meet with my teachers and to help out in any way I can. In 2017, I was invited to guest chair the White House Situation Room of SANVIMUN 2K17. During the 2 day event, I played the role of US President Donald J. Trump. In 2019 I was invited to guest chair the National Security Council committee of SANVIMUN 2K19. I am proud to be an alumnus of SSV and look forward to contributing more to my Alma Mater in the future.

Collin College

August 2015 to December 2017

Collin County Community College is a community college with campuses throughout North & South Dallas. I primarily attended classes at Collin College's Spring Creek Campus and took some classes at their Preston Ridge Campus as well. I completed most of my core classes at Collin and then transferred to UTD. During my time at Collin, I have volunteered and participated in many extra-curricular activities such as Leadership Camps, Women's Rights events, and Veteran's week flag display, among others. In 2016, three of my photos were featured in Collin College's FORCES literary magazine. At Collin, I experienced diversity and learnt about other cultures and values every day. I enjoyed my time there and am grateful for the opportunity to have attended Collin College.

The University of Texas
at Dallas

August 2017 to May 2019

Life and education at a University is very different from that of a community college and this was immediately apparent when I transferred to UT Dallas. At UTD, everything was bigger and more active. From the size of the campus and its student body, to late night events and the numerous activities and organizations, UTD was everything I expected from a US University and more. During my time at UT Dallas, I attended various events including diwali celebrations, a software testing competition, a front end web development camp, and UTD's hackathon - HackUTD, among others. I learnt a lot from the professors at UTD and enjoyed my time inside and outside the classroom. Although I lived off campus, I loved the campus life at UTD and spent most of my free time playing pool at the Pub or SU (Student Union), playing racquetball in the activity center, or just hanging out with my friends.

SpiceJet's Cadet Pilot
Program

September 2019 to Present

After graduating from UT Dallas, I was sure that I wanted to pursue my interest in flying as a career. I returned to India, and began preparations for my return to the US to become a full time student at one of many flight schools across the country. During that time, I came across SpiceJet's advertisement in the newspaper for their new Cadet Pilot Program (CPP) and decided to apply for it. I also applied to CPPs of other airlines. On the 30th of August, 2019 I was excited to learn that I had been selected for SpiceJet's CPP. Fast forward a couple of months and I am now travelling to the US to continue my flight training with my batchmates as a cadet pilot at Spice Star Academy - SpiceJet's aviation school for pilots and cabin crew.
