Friend & Classmate

I have had the opportunity to work with Manu in the UTDesign Capstone project held during our senior year of pursuing a Bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Dallas. It was a semester long course and we decided to implement a cross platform application called Jonsson Connect using Facebook's React Native framework.
Right from day one when the project was assigned, Manu was meticulous in planning and assigning goals for our weekly sprints. He was responsible for coming up with excellent ideas for app features such as a rewards system to improve student attendance and participation in university events and in implementing and improving app security. Manu also ensured that his teammates always delivered the goals set for weekly sprints - on time, and every time. Thanks to his outstanding leadership skills, our team achieved a 100% success ratio for weekly sprint goal completion. True to his belief of being kind to one another, Manu was very supportive towards his teammates in achieving their goals and did not hesitate to lend a hand despite having his own project goals to meet. Thanks to his exceptional soft skills, Manu was also successful in receiving approval from the Dean of Computer Science to conduct a large scale beta testing event on campus from which students' feedbacks significantly improved the overall quality of the Jonsson Connect app and revealed several hidden bugs. Manu made sure that the code was thoroughly tested for numerous edge cases before pushing the app to Google's Playstore and Apple's App Store.
Overall, Manu is a diligent teammate who can be relied upon for fresh and innovative ideas while maintaining the highest standards of quality in his responsibilities.

Manu Satyan is an enterprising young child with a pleasing personality. He was happy and ready to participate in all school activities. He was interested in film making and willingly took up FilmIt projects for the Heritage club of our school. He won accolades for the same from the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi. He continued the good work from class 7 to class 12. He has made a film about his grandpa which received the 'best film of the year' award. I wish him all the very best for all his endeavors. God Bless.

Manu Satyan, as my student, was always up to and beyond the tasks assigned to him as an active student member of our school's Heritage Club, at Sri Sankara Vidyashramam Mat. Hr. Sec. School, Chennai. He contributed immensely to the Filmit Project, and won awards for his school on several occasions for his innovative and creative skills in making short films on various topics related to conservation of Heritage and its importance.
Manu has been one of my favorite students. Always positive, hard working, and dependable. He does not shy away from tough projects and was a true asset to his school. I highly recommend him and wish him a successful career.
